2018 Mazda6 Earns IIHS Top Safety Pick Rating
A few weeks ago Mazda announced that the 2018 Mazda6 earned a Top Safety Pick when equipped with the optional Adaptive Front-Lighting System. In order to qualify as a 2018 Top Safety Pick, the IIHS requires “Good” ratings in multiple tests. It also requires a vehicle earn “Advanced” or “Superior” rating for front crash prevention. It must also earn an “Acceptable” or “Good” headlight test rating.
2018 Mazda CX-5 Earns IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Rating
Mazda also announced the 2018 Mazda CX-5 was named 2018 Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, when equipped with the Adaptive Front-Lighting System built after March of this year. Currently, the 2018 MAzda CX-5 is the only 2018 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick+ recipient within the small SUV segment. Without the Adaptive Front-Lighting system the vehicle still earned a Top Safety Pick rating.
